Wax: different types, how to wax a board, base coat vs. top coat, dif. temperature formulas.
Wetsuits: thicknesses, front vs. back zipper.
Leashes: length of board and length of leash.
Different forms of paddling through a wave: duck Diving, turtle roll etc.
Breaks: beach, point etc, how they form.
Different types of boards: long vs. short, epoxy vs. fiberglass.
Surf lingo and culture.
