End Of The Ski Season Time To Hit The Beach
It is a gloomy time when the ski season comes to an end and the snow has gone, what is there for the seasonnaires to do as they despondently hang up their ski boots and put their poles and skis into storage. But wait, what about the summer season. Time to get the boardshorts and beach gear out! This is the time of year that all those snow lovers recall that they quite like the beach as well.
When you are a seasonnaire deciding what to pack can be a real headache, 6 months and one small suitcase. It is easier to pack for the summer than the winter though because you don’t need so many layers just to leave the house. We think the essential item of summer season gear has to be the boardshort for both boys and girls.
Ready for your Summer Season
The fantastic boardshort should be everyone’s preferred item for the summer because they are really comfortable and incredibly versatile. What could be better than a piece of clothing you can wear into the sea and then at the end of the day chill out in them in the bar. Boardshorts are made out of lightweight material typically polyester that makes them perfect to swim in because they will not weigh you down in the water. The lightness of them also means that they dry out quickly enough to go straight from beach to bar.
With so many different patterns around you can really show off your personality in either bright colourful patterned shorts or go for a more subtle look in soft colours. Long or short boardshorts give you the choice of how much leg you wish to show.
Billabong boardshorts have had a standing as being at the wacky end of the scale and this year they are no different. Why not spread a message of peace this year with the peace and love boardshorts with giant hands showing the peace sign in the colours of various different flags. Or show an all out love for Surfing in a pair of Donovan Frankenreiter shorts covered in images of surfboard tails. For the girls there are vibrantly coloured pink shorts with Billabong writing all over them which are really girly to show off your fun side. If you wish to look quite wacky a pair of Rio super short boardshorts with purple tie detail would display your tan to its full effect and keep you very comfortable on the beach.
Animal also have a really great collection of boardshorts out this year that will be sure to get you seen on the beach, their range for men has taken a more muted colour palette predominantly dark blues, blacks and whites. These shorts are ideal if you prefer to take a more restrained approach to your fashion on the beach. The girls boardshorts are made of some more brightly coloured material and have pretty patterns from hearts to big funky flowers. Perfect for showing off your fun loving side.
Boardshorts are unbelievably comfortable and so make the perfect leisurewear to wear the whole summer long, easy to wash and dry you never need concern yourself about not having any clean clothes. So get your boardies on and hit the beach this summer and enjoy your season.
