surfboard, lost board? fish? rocket?

Ok so, ive been Surfing for like 2 years now, but not like a super serious rider. Ive been riding (or attempting to ride) a 5′11 dan taylor patatoe chip (i think its a chip, really skiiny right?) Its going ok, but i rode my cousins board and it was amazing. i think it was a lost rocket, but im not sure?
Please tell me if im right on this question.
question is: I want a board i can balance on easier, while still being able to do cutbacks and carv hard. Im thinking either the round nose quad (lost) or the rocket (lost).
please tell me if this is a smart buy, and if i will regret it or not.
also, if you have any other suggestions for a board, ill take them.

The best advice you can get will come from a local surf shop. We don’t know how tall you are, ability, where you surf etc.
