Surfboard Q?

I’m fairly new at Surfing and I’ve decided to pick it up and buy my new board.

It’s your money. I started on a 6′4″ thick, wide, soft rails and cheap made in china deal for $300. After I got better, I got a 6′2″ BYB with boxy rails, more rocker, more narrow, thinner. It rips in perfect surf but I soon realized I needed something for other days so I got a Surf Prescriptions 6′0″ a little wider and thicker with a thick swallow tail, paddles easier, catches waves easier and still feels like a high performance board. Both boards were $500. I recommend you do the same, start on a made in china board and think about custom designs later on.
